Why There Should Be A Delay Program Built Into Email

And perhaps the higher you are in an organization, the longer the length of time. Or at least you might think so based on the number 1 story in today'sThe Five Dumbest Things on Wall Street This Week from the According to the article a worker at Peoplesoft fearing his near termination wrote to the CEO Craig Conway about his belief he was being discriminated against because of his race. The email reply: "I am not familiar with your specific circumstances, so I can't comment. But I would recommend reading any of the writings of Shelby Steele or J.C. Watts before blaming your circumstance on race." It might even be a good point, but my guess is that in retrospect CEO Conway might have wished for a time delay on his email program, allowing him to retract that one before it flew back through cyberspace.
